Women and men considering BOTOX travel from Kitchener-Waterloo, Oakville, and throughout Southern Ontario to deRMA Skin Institute to have experienced, board-certified dermatologists perform the treatments.

What Are BOTOX, Dysport®, And XEOMIN®?
These three products belong to a treatment category called injectable neuromodulators. BOTOX is by far the most well-known of the three options, but Dysport and XEOMIN use the same active ingredient to soften fine lines and wrinkles. Neuromodulators work by temporarily blocking nerve impulses that cause muscles to contract. These contractions occur whenever our faces change expressions, such as squinting, frowning, or smiling. These dynamic wrinkles differ from lines and wrinkles caused by the natural aging process, sun damage, and gravity, which can be treated with dermal fillers.
Which Areas Do BOTOX, Dysport, And XEOMIN Treat?
The most common treatment areas are around the forehead and eyes, but injections can work in multiple areas of the face. Our providers customize doses and inject with precision using a conservative approach that prevents the “frozen” appearance often produced by inexperienced injectors.
At our clinic, you will always be assessed by a board-certified dermatologist. As your muscles and movements change with time, your treatment plan and dosing may also need to change. Your face is uniquely yours and your treatment plan should be too!
Are There Other Uses For BOTOX?
We pride ourselves on creating personalized and customized treatments. That includes combining BOTOX, Dysport, or XEOMIN with other aesthetic procedures as part of Dr. Sajic’s unique 5 Dimensions Skin Plan™. Neuromodulators play an integral role in minimizing wrinkles, shaping the face, decreasing redness, and treating a number of other conditions.
In addition to reducing wrinkles and fine lines as part of our patented 5D Skin Plan (available only at deRMA Skin Institute), we use BOTOX injections to treat:
- Excessive underarm sweating (hyperhidrosis)
- Jawline fullness (enlarged masseters)
- Scarring
- Vertical neck bands
- Lip lines
- Bunny lines (nose wrinkles)
- Dimpled chins
In addition to these cosmetic treatments, BOTOX is also used to treat migraine headaches and depression in select patients.
Choosing An Injector
A physician with knowledge, skill, and experience can help ensure you get the appropriate injectable treatment for your concerns. This is not a time to bargain shop or make a choice without researching the provider’s qualifications. Even though BOTOX injections are common, your results will only be as good as the injector performing them. Your face and skin are the windows to your health, youth, and vitality—make sure the person doing your treatments has the highest qualifications.
Our lead dermatologist Dr. Sajic uses techniques he’s developed that are the subject of his lectures throughout the world. Furthermore, our clinic is equipped with the most comprehensive arsenal of the latest and best technologies, enabling us to use the right tool for the right job. This gives us the opportunity to create custom treatments plans designed specifically for your skin. We are confident that you won’t find better treatments anywhere in the world.
All treatments at our clinic are directed, planned, and executed by a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist. There are many options out there, and each treatment has subtle but important differences. We understand that patients have their own unique set of concerns, so we will listen to your concerns and work with you to plan a treatment to achieve the best results possible, taking into account your lifestyle, budget, and goals.
