Treatments such as Pixel Radiofrequency (RF) produce results similar to laser skin resurfacing without using laser energy. We use Pixel RF at our Guelph, Ontario clinic for mild to deep resurfacing when patients want to treat acne scars, stretch marks, wrinkles, and uneven texture. The procedure combines micro-plasma energy with RF technology to stimulate collagen growth and improve your skin’s overall health, look, and feel.

How Does Pixel RF Work?
Pixel RF’s novel fractional technology delivers combined RF and micro-plasma energy in a controlled, concentrated manner, ablating and heating the skin. The healthy skin around the treated region speeds up the healing process, boosting results and lowering costs. As the targeted tissue recovers, new collagen and elastin develop to strengthen the skin and minimize patient downtime. The result? Skin that looks fresh, smooth, and radiant.
Who Is A Good Candidate For Pixel RF Treatments?
Pixel RF is an effective treatment for a range of skin conditions. It contours, tightens, and rejuvenates the skin, creating a younger, healthier appearance. It can minimize acne scars and stretch marks, tighten loose skin, and smooth fine lines and wrinkles.
In addition, we may use Pixel RF to treat:
- Enlarged pores
- Scars
- Acne
- Acne scars
- Rough skin texture
- Pigmented lesions and other types of skin discolouration
Pixel RF can be used on the face, neck, décolletage, back, legs, hands, and arms.
How Many Treatments Are Needed?
The number of treatments needed to produce the results you desire depends on your specific concerns. Most of our patients undergo 3 to 5 treatment sessions scheduled a month apart. Each treatment takes about an hour to complete, including 30 minutes for a topical anesthetic to numb the treatment area, followed by 30 minutes of the actual procedure.
Do Pixel RF Treatments Hurt?
Some patients may experience some slight discomfort during the treatment session. We apply a topical numbing cream before the procedure to help patients remain comfortable.
What Should I Expect After A Treatment?
Immediately after the treatment, you may experience a sensation similar to a bad sunburn. Some minor swelling is also common for a few days after the procedure. Applying the cream we provide can help the healing process for the first couple of days. Your skin may seem and feel a little dry when new skin replaces injured tissue, but that’s a sign that the skin is healing.
