Many people think that a surgical facelift is the only option for reducing the appearance of jowls, nasolabial folds, and loose neck skin. We know better. deRMA Skin Institute offers a nonsurgical facelift alternative at our Guelph, Ontario clinic that combines AccuTite with other minimally invasive procedures to tighten skin and treat age-related volume loss. AccuTite is also an excellent alternative to a surgical brow lift.

What Is AccuTite?
AccuTite is a leading-edge technology that delivers radiofrequency (RF) energy below the skin’s surface, causing the skin and underlying tissue to contract for a tighter, more contoured appearance. The thermal energy causes existing collagen fibres to contract and stimulates new collagen production over time. AccuTite also reduces small pockets of fat by destroying fat cells with heat energy. It is especially effective when combined with dermal fillers and radiofrequency microneedling treatments.
AccuTite is an essential component of the patented 5 Dimension Skin Plan™ developed by Dr. Dusan Sajic and available only at deRMA Skin Institute. This innovative approach to anti-aging treatments addresses the 5 dimensions of facial aging. For women and men in their 40s and 50s, AccuTite plays a key role in restoring a more youthful appearance without surgery.
As a standalone treatment, AccuTite can address many other aesthetic concerns, including:
- Sagging brows
- Under-eye bags
- Puffy eyes
- Forehead lines
- Double chin
- Jowls
- Nasolabial folds
- Crow’s feet
- Jawline contouring
- Marionette lines
- Laxity and lines of the neck
- Loose abdominal skin
- Loose skin in other areas
AccuTite is the smallest device of its kind, making it ideal for smaller, targeted areas on the face, neck, and body with mild skin laxity.
What Happens During An AccuTite Treatment?
AccuTite is a radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis (RFAL) and skin tightening treatment. Because treatments can generate heat up to 70 degrees Celsius, we first apply topical and injectable anesthetics to the target area to ensure your comfort. Once you are adequately numbed, we make a tiny incision which we use as a port to insert the AccuTite probe. The probe is a long blunt needle that the doctor slides back and forth throughout the treatment area. You’ll hear beeping sounds, sometimes in rapid succession, as he performs the treatment. Treatment sessions take 15 to 45 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.
How Should I Prepare For AccuTite?
Even though AccuTite can reduce fat and tighten skin, it is not a weight loss procedure. Additionally, we often need to combine laser resurfacing or dermal fillers with AccuTite to produce optimal results. It is important to understand any procedure’s goals and limitations and discuss them with your doctor before proceeding.
To prepare for your AccuTite treatment, we advise that you:
- Be near your ideal weight
- Do not smoke or use nicotine products for at least a few weeks
- Avoid certain medications for a few weeks (blood thinners, retinol among others)
- Avoid drinking alcohol for at least a week
- Discuss any concerns with your surgeon
- Be prepared to wear a compression bandage for at least 48 hours after the treatment if we’re targeting fat under your chin.
During your consultation, our team will give you detailed instructions on how to prepare for your procedure. Sticking to those guidelines will help to ensure your safety and the success of your treatment.
When Will I See Results From AccuTite?
You should see results immediately, and they will continue to improve for the ensuing 6 months. Skin continues to tighten, and fat cells are gradually destroyed and flushed from the body.
What Is The Recovery Like After AccuTite?
AccuTite is a minimally invasive procedure, meaning the doctor doesn’t make a large incision. There is little downtime necessary. We may give you compression garments to help the development of new contours, particularly if we treat the lower face, neck, and jowls. Mild bruising and swelling are normal and typically resolve within 7 to 10 days. Most patients experience little discomfort, and over-the-counter medication is enough to manage any pain you feel. Most patients return to their regular activities after 2 days.
Can I Combine AccuTite With Other Treatments?
Yes. AccuTite is an important component of our 5 Dimension Skin Plan. We strongly believe that combination treatments—whether at the same time or more gradually at separate visits, help our patients look the most refreshed and natural.
We often combine AccuTite with CO2 laser resurfacing, dermal fillers such as JUVÉDERM®, Restylane®, or Radiesse®, and RF microneedling.
If you are interested in a combination of procedures, be sure to discuss this with your dermatologist during your consultation. Your dermatologist will advise you on whether you can undergo the desired treatments simultaneously or if it would be best to undergo them separately.
