What Can I Expect During My Evolve Treatment?
Prior to treatment you will be assessed by one of our board-certified dermatologists to come up with a treatment plan. During the treatment, one of our highly trained staff will position the Evolve and its adapters to the treatment area. We will position you in our reclining treatment chair for the duration of the procedure which may take 15-30 minutes per session per area. You will feel a warm pulsating sensation (TITE and TRIM) as well as your muscles contracting during the treatment (TONE and TRANSFORM).
Who Is A Good Candidate For Evolve?
The best way to find out if you would benefit from any of the Evolve treatments, be it Tite, Tone, Trim, or Transform, the best first step would be to meet with one of our board-certified cosmetic dermatologists. We will meet with you during the consultation and go over what to expect.
Generally, these are good guidelines to follow:
- If you can pinch it – Evolve TRIM can shrink it
- If you can cover your index finger with your loose skin – Evolve TITE can tighten it
- If you can see some muscle poking through – Evolve TONE will define your muscles more
- If you have unwanted cellulite, loose skin, and lax muscles, Evolve TRANSFORM can tighten and tone it.
Although Evolve treatments are the latest tech in helping patients build muscle, remove fat and tighten their skin, they are by no means a replacement for exercise and a proper diet. Evolve treatments are best for individuals who are reaching a plateau despite eating right and exercising and continue to struggle with residual pockets of body fat or want to see more muscle definition or diminish the appearance of loose skin – all without wanting to undergo surgery.
Aftercare
There is no aftercare and you can return to your regular activities right after the procedure. You may find that you need to go to the bathroom after the treatment – on account of fat being released into your system.
It is important to continue with the prescribed sessions at the regular recommended intervals. It is also important to continue with the proper diet and exercise regiments to compliment your treatment.
It is also important to do regular maintenance treatments once you have completed your initial treatment. Just like with exercise, once you are in shape it is important to continue to do so in order to maintain the results. Treating with Evolve is no different.
Combination Of Treatments
Our board-certified dermatologist will meet with you and discuss the optimal combination, timing, and maintenance to give you the best results. In addition to Evolve, we may suggest other treatments that can work synergistically to improve the overall outcome.
Evolve TITE: Radiofrequency microneedling with Mopheus8 or Pixel RF can help enhance the skin tightening and collagen building.
Evolve TRIM: Lipodissolve injections may be recommended to enhance the effect or decrease the number of sessions needed. Continuing to eat right and stay well hydrated will help enhance the effect of the treatment. It may be of benefit to discuss a plan with a dietitian; we are happy to help you connect with one. Oral medication may also be of benefit if you have a body mass index of >27.

How Long Does It Take To See Results From Undergoing Fat Removal, Skin Tightening, And Muscle Building Treatments With Evolve?
As a non-surgical and non-invasive energy-assisted approach to fat removal, muscle tightening, and muscle building Evolve is not a quick fix. New changes start to become more apparent at 4-6 weeks. And full results usually take about 2 or 3 months. Once results are achieved, like with any regimen it is best to continue treatments at reduced intervals. Your doctor will discuss the best maintenance treatment.
How Does Evolve Compare To Other Body Slimming Technologies?
Evolve utilizes advanced applications of radiofrequency (RF) energy which surpasses comparable systems that also use radio waves to destroy fat cells. A major reason is that Evolve has precise temperature control to ensure maximal energy and efficacy while decreasing the chance of pain and side effects. Furthermore, the technology of Evolve has overcome a major limitation of many body contouring technologies using RF waves which do not have sufficient power to achieve the proper depth of penetration to produce optimal results.
Another popular non-surgical way to reduce / eliminate fat is to use cold temperatures to destroy fat. The most common of these is CoolSculpting. However, a major disadvantage to this approach is a high risk of hyperplasia (i.e. cell proliferation) at the treatment site as well as step / bite deformities. These issues result in lumps which must then be removed surgically or treated with another technology or injections. The use of radiofrequency (RF) is not known to have this issue.
With regards to actual fat removal, clinical studies suggest that Evolve is able to outperform CoolSculpting and SculpSure by removing more fat per treatment session.
First, the use of cryolipolysis / cold temperatures to destroy fat cells makes CoolSculpting less versatile compared to radiofrequency since it can only be used on very large areas, as opposed to more nuanced regions such as the neck, arms, and inner thighs.
Second, while both CoolSculpting and SculpSure have demonstrated the ability to reduce fat by about 22-24%. a recent study showed that radiofrequency treatment of fat resulted in the average fat thickness reduction of 39.6%. Although this study of 20 patients is relatively small, this result, in terms of being able to remove more fat than SculpSure and CoolSculpting, is nonetheless worth noting.
Is Evolve Fat Removal Effective For Anyone Who Wants To Lose Extra Weight?
Non-invasive technology designed to remove fat is really not meant for weight loss, or again, as discussed above, as a substitute for a healthy lifestyle with regular exercise and a proper diet. It is also important to see your doctor to ensure you don’t have a medical condition like diabetes or thyroid disease that is inhibiting your progress.
Ideal patients should be within 10-20 lbs of their ideal weight and have their body in a state of weight loss. The goal should be to achieve a slimmer and stronger body contour by getting rid of excess fat and building muscle which cannot be resolved using diet and exercise alone. Although Evolve is designed to tighten loose skin, candidates should also still have sufficient skin elasticity.
When Is It A Good Idea For Patients To Consider Liposuction Over An Evolve Fat Removal Treatment?
Surgical liposuction and/or surgical intervention may be a better choice for removing larger fat deposits and if you have skin that is hanging. In addition, if you are not ready for surgical intervention or if you are in between, you may be a candidate for adding non-surgical liposuction with Lipodissolve.
Finally, since Evolve uses energy to accomplish its objectives (reducing fat, tightening skin and toning muscles), it is important to remember that the flow of this energy depends on the patients own tissue and their density and hydration status. As the tissues differ between people (and even in the same person between treatments) effects will differ and vary. Having a good night’s sleep as well as having a good level of hydration (2 L of fluid taken at least 2 hrs before treatment) will help. If you are not experiencing the changes you hoped for, it may be time to re-consider liposuction or other surgical and invasive procedures to remove the unwanted fat.
